PERSONAL COACHING:
“Personal Coaching from a photo expert.”
We'll teach you how to use your new digital camera, or your older film camera, in a comfortable one-on-one atmosphere. We will show you how to use your camera and answer any questions that you have about your camera, or how to photograph any project or event. You'll learn more, faster, than any other way. Our coaches are Certified Photographic Consultants, which means they really have the answers to your questions. And you can even give a gift certificate for Personal Coaching.

BASIC DIGITAL SEMINAR:
“I’ve Got My Digital Camera, What Do I Do Now?”
This seminar will teach you how to get better photos by showing you how your digital camera works and makes pictures. We will learn the terms and language associated with the digital world like: compression rates, megabyte sizes, and the difference between optical and digital zoom and when to use the icon settings. We will also discuss which storage format works best: Compact flash, SD, hard drives, CD’s etc. We will also discuss which image size makes the best printed photo. Also, how to get your photos into your computer, how to edit them, how to e-mail them, what NEVER to do with your photos and more. The goal of this class is to show you how to take better pictures with your digital camera!
This ONE EVENING SEMINAR will meet on Wednesday evening from 7 to 10pm at Ernest Camera Shoppe for 1 class January 18, 2012. Class fee $60.00 -or- ($30.00 if you purchased your digital camera from us.)
BASIC DSLR PHOTOGRAPHY:
The goal of this class is to develop (pun intended) your knowledge of photography. We will learn how your digital camera makes a picture, what the shutter speed and aperture controls do, and how to use the flash. In addition we will discuss composition, the quality of light, which ISO/ASA setting to use and many other subjects including white balance, RAW and icon use. Learn the difference between a good picture and a GREAT photo!
This class is intended for students with a digital SLR camera who want to learn how to get better photos from their cameras.
Classes will meet on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm at Ernest Camera Shoppe, for 4 classes beginning Spring 2012. Class dates are: March 19, 21, 26, 28
Class fee: $200.00 -or- (1/2 price of $100.00 if you purchased your digital camera from us)

INTERMEDIATE DSLR PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS:
The goal of this course is to continue to develop your photographic ability by reviewing and expanding on camera operation, composition, and other techniques covered in Basic Photography. We will also discuss the use of accessory lenses, filters, and other photographic gear. In addition we will have classes dealing with portraiture, weddings, sports and nature photography. This course is designed for those people who know how to use their camera but want more instruction on its potential. There will two class assignments.
You will bring your camera to class to be used in the “portrait" section of the class.

Classes will meet on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm at Ernest Camera Shoppe for 4 classes beginning Spring 2012. Class dates are: April 2, 4, 9, 11

PHOTOSHOP: TIPS & TRICKS FOR PHOTOGRAPERS
Terry Ernest of Ernest Camera Shoppe in Port Huron will be teaching a seminar titled: “Photoshop: Tips & Tricks for Photographers”. Photographers will learn how make great images using less time. Some subjects that will be discussed are: Straightening crooked scans, using autocolor effectively, sizing/resizing, sharpening an image, colorizing black and whites, creating a vignette, removing “tough” red-eye, applying filters and more! This seminar is designed to use creative techniques in Photoshop that photographers can use to really make their photos “pop”. We will also get an overview of the Photoshop Elements Version 10 program.
Too many Photoshop seminars are geared toward heavy graphics and controls that are not necessarily for photographs. This class is designed for photographers to efficiently use your time to make your photos noticeably better!
Class will be held Wednesday February 22, 2012, from 7 to 9:30 pm.
